NATURAL DYEING WORKSHOP
A natural dyeing journey Interested in capturing natures shapes?
Be inspired by our surrounds and the alchemy of natural dyeing. In this intriguing workshop, you will create marks with Rust and Tea, a Sandwich of Cloth, Leaves and Paper none of it edible but all worthy of your textile love. Your foray into mark making will start with the exploration of rusting shapes and colour (from the tea) on Paper and Cloth
Wendi's journey into natural dyeing started with carrot tops and a jar! She has learnt her skills from many India Flint, Elizabeth Bunsen, Cas Holmes, Dorothy Caldwell and great inspiration from Alice Fox and Jude Hill. She has always been a maker and let my textiles evolve, this gives one permission to EXPLORE.
Saturday 14th October 2017. The class runs for 5 hours from 9.30am to 2.30pm, and includes a herb inspired lunch. Try to arrive 10minutes prior to have a cuppa and settle in.
$95 this includes a booklet of class notes, all materials and lunch.
