Citronella oil comes from the grass Cymbopogan nardus. It is traditionally used as an insect repellant for mosquitos, sandflies and fleas. Its anti-bacterial action make it useful for inhibiting infections. Citronella oil is also used for fungal infections.

Uses

Add 5 drops to a vapouriser to help deter mosquitos along with freshening up the air.

Add citronella essential oil to you favourite base cream to use as an insect repellant cream, you can also add some patchouli, geranium and lemon myrtle. use a total of 30 drops to 50g of cream.

Emotional

Citronella essential oil is uplifting, soothes depression and clears the mind.

Blends with

cedarwood, lavender, patchouli, lemongrass, tea tree, peppermint, geranium and eucalyptus

Caution

Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Avoid using it in the bath. Do not use undiluted on the skin.

We do not recommend taking essential oils internally.

Beautiful products - Efficient service

I purchased YEP tea and URT tea to help with my bronchitis, and help with the sinus congestion I tend to have. Both the teas are delicious. I also ordered 3 essential oils mainly to make up a natural mozzie spray - citronella, tea tree and lemon myrtle. They all arrived really efficiently within days of ordering. Thank you!
