Shatavari, meaning 'she who possesses a hundred husbands' is often considered an aphrodisiac (increasing libido) and a female tonic herb. This traditional Ayurvedic herbal medicine is commonly used as a rejuvenation herb, improving vitality and ones ability to deal with stress.

Due to its oestrogenic effects it can also be helpful to assist in the treatment of PMS and menopausal symptoms. It can also aid in infertility.
