Botanical Name: Clitoria ternatea

A fast-growing climber with blue flowers. Originates from South East Asia where it is used in food and medicine.

The blue butterfly pea flower makes a healthy blue butterfly pea flower tea and can be consumed hot or cold. It can also be brewed with other herbs to create different flavoured teas. Prefer the colour pink? Then just add some lemon and the blue will turn pink.

Blue butterfly pea plant flowers can be used as a natural food dye and is used to colour rice and desserts in Asia.
