A black anodised aluminium plant label, laser engraved with the common name and the botanical name, on a spike that pushes straight into the ground or a pot. Pick any plant from our range and the picture on this page shows you the exact label before you buy it.

Two ways to have it

  • Name and botanical name $11.50. The classic: common name, botanical name and a QR code that opens the plant's page on our website.
  • With growing notes $15.00. Adds a few lines under the name: what sort of plant it is, where it likes to grow and how tall it gets, a note if the bees love it, and a couple of sentences of advice worth knowing while you are standing in front of it.

The label

  • Engraved face 100 mm wide by 50 mm tall
  • 1 mm anodised aluminium, black, engraved through to the bare metal so it will not fade, peel or rust
  • 195 mm tall overall including the spike
  • The face is angled back about 30 degrees from the spike, so you can read it from standing without stooping
  • The QR code opens the plant's page, with the full growing information

Our shipping costs are a flat rate, meaning you can add any amount of products to your order and you will pay the same.

We can send plants to Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and ACT.

We cannot send plants to Western Australia, Northern Territory or Tasmania due to restrictions.

Rated 5 out of 5. excellent product!. These are great! I don't tend to leave reviews, but have had such consistently great experiences with Mudbrick Herb Cottage. The plants tend to arrive in great condition and it's nice to be able to find some more unusual varieties. I was a little unsure what to expect with these labels, but they look so amazing in the garden. Very sophisticated and interesting yet unobtrusive, plus the design with a stake and slight angle is just perfect. Although I haven't used the QR codes yet, it's such a useful idea to link to plant information and will save a lot of time repeatedly googling down the track. Really happy with them - will definitely be adding more. kh , June 2025.
