Botanical Name: Arnica chamissonis

Arnica chamissonis is from the United States, it is very similar to Arnica Montana which is found in Europe in both its appearance and medicinal properties. It is a perennial and will grow up to 60cm in height. It has green narrow leaves and yellow daisy like flowers in summer.

Arnica used as a wash, cream or ointment can be used to reduce swelling and bruising associated with a wide variety of injuries. Do not use on broken skin.

Made into a homoepathic preparation arnica can be used when there has been some trauma to the body. It can be used to reduce pain and swelling after an accident, or pre and post-surgery to reduce, pain, swelling and bruising.

Growing Conditions

Grow arnica in well – drained rich soil in a full sun to part shade position. Divide plants in spring.

Rated 5 out of 5. Arrived safe and sound. I was excited to receive my order recently. It included some new plants for me, eg Arnica chamissonis, Sweet Grass and Okinawa Spinach. They all came quickly and very efficiently as MHC said they would. I was a little apprehensive about the journey to a cooler climate but all the plants have done well!Thanks for your help. I'd asked to go on a waitlist for Arnica and received an email saying they were back in stock. Ordering was so easy, and I wanted to add to my order after paying - extremely simple process. I was surprised to received my 8 herbs in the still damp parcel so soon knowing that so many parcels have been delayed due to COVID. My herbs arrived in good health, I soaked them in a weak seasol solution and they look magnificent. I've spent the weekend planting them and am so excited to see them grow.
