Our Australian-grown rosemary is a delightfully aromatic herb, traditionally used to enhance lamb dishes, and it is an exceptional accompaniment to a variety of meats, particularly game. Incorporate it into your roast potato recipe along with some garlic, or add it to roast tomatoes and sauces for an added burst of flavour.
Rosemary pairs beautifully with pumpkin, infusing both sweet and savoury dishes with its unique essence. Experiment by adding it to pumpkin soup, cookies, or pie. It also enhances dishes that feature citrus elements.
After a strenuous day, add rosemary to your bathwater to help soothe achy muscles and alleviate tension.
Rosemary is renowned for its medicinal benefits too, notably in enhancing memory and focus. It shows promise in the treatment of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. It supports liver detoxification, aids in improving circulation and offers relief from tension-induced headaches.
Used externally, it can potentially alleviate arthritis symptoms, neuralgia, muscle and joint pain, and sciatica.
For internal use, steep 2g of the herb in a cup of boiling water to brew a revitalising rosemary tea, suggested to be consumed three times a day.
For external use, steep 50g of the herb in a litre of boiling water, cover it and let it infuse for 15 minutes before adding it to your bath. Alternatively, mix it with oil and massage onto the affected area.
