Sheep Sorrel is considered a rich source of vitamin C, E and beta-carotene.

It is a part of a traditional formula (Essiac) which is used alongside cancer treatment or during chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

It's helpful for those with poor immunity or suffering from respiratory conditions.

The oxalate contained in sorrel is responsible for its sour flavor.

Precautions:

* Avoid excessive use/high doses due to the oxalate content

* Should be taken away from supplements/foods containing iron, calcium or zinc as it may decrease the absorption

* Not to be used during pregnancy or lactation unless otherwise directed by your healthcare professional
