Yes, all of our herb plants grow well in pots. Use a good quality potting mix and make sure the pot has drainage holes. Potted herbs can be moved to catch the sun as the days get shorter, which gives you more flexibility than planting in the ground.

Water new plantings well for the first two weeks until roots establish. After that, most autumn herbs need less water than summer plantings. Add a layer of mulch around the base to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature. Avoid heavy fertilising until spring when growth picks up.
