Growing Tips

I have been growing the same cat grass for many months. I have two pots, so when one is looking a bit old and tired I can take care of it while the other is still providing for our cat.

Cut back old cat grass hard. Make sure you give the pot a really good soaking. I usually dunk it in a larger bucket of water. Then fertilise.

Some other herbs that our cat loving customers love are Dried Catnip, Valerian root and Catnip Plants.

Rated 5 out of 5. Lovely plants. This was a great buy. Grass arrived in great condition. Cats love it. I would pay a higher premium for a more established plant. Cats go thru the two I bought it two days and recovery time isn't as quick.... Will definitely consider purchasing more from the Mudbrick Herb Cottage. Anonymous , August 2023.

Rated 5 out of 5. Cat grass. My two ragdoll cats love this grass and it stops them chewing the leaves of other plants. I plant it up and rotate 6 pots of it, allowing it to grow again. Anonymous , April 2025.

Rated 5 out of 5. Cat Grass. Followed the instructions and the cat grass is still living and growing (instead of being demolished by my cats immediately!). Great, easy, friendly service. Philippa Henderson , November 2024.

Rated 5 out of 5. Companion planting.. Well they are growing, bought & picked up a mth ago but planted 3weeks & 2days-Basil,2xChilli, Bay Tree, Thyme, 2xSage, 2xLavender, Parsley, Nasturtium, Sea Purslane, Rosemary,Figwort, Cat grass. They are growing well, lovely healthy plants that stood up to late planting by me (my fault) it was hot weather that week too. And I got a little surprise of catnip for the cats. Thankyou, good service, lovely people & great plants. Anonymous , November 2023.
