Both a culinary and medicinal plant, Globe artichoke is known for it's rosette shaped flower buds. The immature flower head is eaten as a vegetable, and the leaves are used medicinally.
Native to Southern Europe, this plant is now grown as a food all over the world.

Traditional uses include; nausea and dyspepsia, IBS, abdominal bloating, constipation, liver and gallbladder conditions, high cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, atherosclerosis, diabetes, chronic eczema and skin conditions.
