Mexican Tarragon has been in use since Aztec times, both for religious and medical purposes. Today, it is a popular herb in the Southern states of the USA, since it can substitute the well-known tarragon very well, but can be grown more easily in a hot climate. It has a sweet aniseed flavour and makes a delicious tea. The leaves can be added to salads, fruit salads and used in place of French tarragon for fish and chicken dishes.

    Mexican Tarragon

I particularly like Mexican Tarragon which has a stronger flavor than French Tarragon and is especially good for flavoring vinegars, white sauces etc. This was my first purchase from Mudbrick herb cottage and despite the difficulties with postage in these difficult times, my order arrived surprisingly quickly and at very reasonable postage cost. The plants were in good condition and despite the tarragon being on the small size, which is to be expected in mid-winter, it took off quickly and in a short time has doubled in size. The after service has been excellent. Look forward to more excellent service like this.

This plant, as well as two others, arrived in excellent condition. All are flourishing after a couple of weeks in bigger pots

    Mexican Tarragon

I was delighted to find Mexican Tarragon in stock at Mudbrick Herb Cottage as it is not commonly available elsewhere. The plants arrived swiftly after online purchase, were repotted to larger pots and doubled in size over following 2 weeks. I received very healthy vigorous plants and will buy again from Mudbrick Herb Cottage.
