All of our Herb Plants are grown organically with certified organic potting mixes and fertilizers

Botanical Name: Aloysia citriodora

Lemon Verbena is a perennial shrub, originating from South America, which grows up to 3 meters. It has small white flowers which grow in clusters at the branch ends.

The clean lemon taste of fresh or dried leaves make a refreshing herb tea on its own or combined with mint and or ginger.

Lemon verbena can be used to add lemon flavour to fish and poultry dishes. Add chopped leaves to marinades and dressings, fruit salads and drinks.

A hot herbal infusion of lemon verbena acts as a mild sedative. It’s also used to treat fevers and minor digestive disorders.

Dried leaves of Lemon Verbena retain their aroma and flavor for many years which make them useful in potpourris, draw sachets and sleep pillows.

Growing Conditions

Lemon Verbena is a deciduous shrub and should be pruned back in spring when new growth appears. It prefers well drained soil in a sunny position and is frost hardy.

    Amazing service. Excellent plants

After I unsuccessfully trying to secure some plants several times, I decided to email the team at mudbrick herb cottage when I received one of their cart followup emails. That's when they did magic. They managed to secure the plants I was trying to secure and prepared my order at the backend. Once payment was processed. My box of plants arrived super speedily within 2-3 days. They were all neatly labelled, taped, wrapped & boxed with care instructions. The plants were amazingly healthy and my plants are all doing great several weeks on. Thanks for the amazing job Sandra & Team! I'll definitely highly recommend you to anyone wanting to order plants or herbs online.

The package received well. A job well done. I can't review the plant yet as it's still very small. Thanks Samar
